AliquoteIMU.it is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free calculators and practical tax guides for several European countries. Every site in the group follows the same rules: calculations run in the visitor’s browser, every rate comes from an official source cited on the page, and the limits of each calculation are written down.

Why an IMU site, and why in English

IMU is simple arithmetic, but the rate changes from one comune to the next and often from year to year, and it sits in a PDF schedule on the Department of Finance website, in Italian. We read the schedules of 7,357 comuni and wired them into the calculator. The English version is for people who own property in Italy but live elsewhere, or who are new to the Italian system, and explains the Italian terms they will meet on the forms.

How we work

Legal parameters live in a single file checked against Law 160 of 2019 and the Department of Finance’s pages, last checked on 2026-10-03. The calculation engine is covered by automated tests built from the cases the law describes. The methodology page sets out formulas, data and limits; the editorial policy explains updates and corrections.

Funding

The site is free and needs no account. It may carry advertising in future, never above a calculator and never in exchange for a product review. We do not sell data: we do not collect any.

Reporting an error

If a rate differs from your comune’s schedule, or a result looks wrong, write to contatti@aliquoteimu.it with the comune and the page. We check the source and correct, with the date of the correction.

What we do not do

We are not an accountancy firm or a tax assistance centre (CAF). We do not file F24 payments for anyone and cannot answer individual questions. For complex cases, such as an estate with several properties or a disputed building plot, contact the comune’s tax office, a CAF or a commercialista.
